SailTime Unveils New Look and Rebranding Effort to Reflect Expansion to Power

– The SailTime® Group LLC announced today a new partnership with Rinker Boats to expand their popular fractional sailing program to include power boats, specifically, Rinker’s line of Express Cruisers and Captivas. During the past two years, SailTime® began adding power boats to their fractional sailing fleet in several key markets, including Toronto, Canada, New York, and Houston. With the announcement of the partnership with Rinker Boats, SailTime®’s fractional program for power boating could eventually expand to its existing 30 SailTime® bases nationwide, making it the largest global company offering fractional memberships in both sailing and power boating.

Also, SailTime® instructors from Channel Islands (Captain Dan Ryder) and Orange County (Captain Roger Philips) were recognized as ASA Outstanding Sailing Instructors of the Year for 2008. The award is given annually by the American Sailing Association (ASA), the governing body for sailing schools. Awards are based on surveys completed by graduating students.

The SailTime Group LLC said that it is partnering with Rinker Boats to expand its fractional ownership program. SailTime has 30 bases with sailboats, but decided to offer Rinker's line of Express Cruisers and Captivas to several of its markets, including Toronto, New York and Houston. USA & Australia. SailTime opens base in Newport

Yacht sales on troubled waters

Washington-area yacht dealers are hoping a choppy economy doesn't discourage boat lovers from taking a walk around the new marina at the National Harbor Yacht Show.

The show, which ends Sunday, features dozens of million-dollar yachts available for sale or charter. Visitors also can peruse displays showcasing marine engines, electronics and hardware.

The generator burbled and hummed as I cooked dinner on the stove and Jocelyn relaxed in the cockpit.
