How does a SailTime Power Membership work?
SailTime Power is just like your gym membership, but on the water: you join at a location near where
you live, pay a monthly fee, use the equipment, wipe it down when you are finished, and leave -
without all the ownership responsibilities. SailTime Power also provides an online scheduling system
and an electronic check-on and check-off system that makes it easy to schedule your boating time
and ensures the boat is always clean and ready to go. SailTime Power is perfect for anyone who wants a
more affordable way to cruise on a new power boat.
What is the maximum number of fractional boaters
on a given yacht?
Eight. All the available time is made available to the eight Members via our on-line
scheduling software. Learn how the scheduler allows everyone to get the boating times

What is the cost?
This depends on the size and location of the boat and your fuel consumption. Please contact
your local base owner for pricing information in your area.
Will my costs go up if there are fewer Members on the boat?
No.
How much cash will I be required to pay when I join
SailTime Power?
This depends on the size of the boat and the location. Typically, there will be a $2500
initiation fee that covers your training when you join SailTime Power. Contact your
local base owner for pricing information in your area.
What is the length of the commitment?
The minimum commitment is 12 months for non-seasonal bases or 1 season for seasonal bases.
You can choose to pay your entire season in advance or choose a monthly payment option over
12 months.
Do I need to sign a contract? Can I see it?
Yes. Call or email your SailTime Power representative.
Am I a part owner of the boat as part of the agreement?
No. Members share use of the boat but are not boat owners. If you'd like to take advantage of
our smart ownership program, please speak to your local SailTime base.
Are there any other maintenance/upkeep fees that
will be assessed?
Yes. In addition to paying for you gas, you will be charged an hourly engine maintenance fee.
Because the engine maintanance is expensive, the hourly engine rate ensures that members only
pay for what they use.
Can two people share one membership?
No. For insurance reasons, the number of Members is capped at 8.
How do you schedule the boating times?
Our exclusive and proprietary on-line scheduling software allows you to reserve and swap
schedules 24/7 in real-time. The software allows you to select a minimum of seven sail times
per month and an unlimited amount on an as-available basis.
Is Friday a weekday or weekend sail time?
Friday is a weekday. Friday night is a weekend evening sail time.
Can I see the boat ahead of time?
Absolutely! Just call to schedule an appointment.
What are the specifications of the boat?
Each SailTime Power vessel is extensively outfitted with state-of-the-art instruments, air
conditioning, electric windlass, galley items and other features that make boating
easy and enjoyable.
Can I make multiple reservations in a row? Can I stay
overnight on the boat?
Yes. You can reserve up to 14 sail times
in a row. This lets you to enjoy a long trip. Bases operating in
seasonal environments have to place restrictions on reserving more
than 7 sail times in a row during the height of the season.
Who is responsible for washing down the boat?
Members wash down the boat after each use and remove their trash etc. Our Bases use
E-ttendant, a wireless PDA that members use to check on and check off their boat. If
the previous member left something amiss, they will be sent an email from E-ttendant
informing them of their oversight. This ensures that your boat in pristine condition
each time you step aboard.
Who is responsible for re-fueling and pump-out of the
yacht?
SailTime Power does both at no extra charge to the Member. However if you reserve an extended
outing some bases may require you to re-fuel and pump out yourself. Speak with your
local base.
How do you handle irresponsible / uncooperative /
non-paying Members?
The Member agreement provides for the removal of Members who abuse SailTime Power's policies.
Can I use the 24-hour rule to continuously
get back-to-back sail times so long as no other Member is using those sail times?
Yes The 24 hour rule is designed to let Members use their boat more than their set allocation
on an as-available basis.
Can I become a Member first and then upgrade to
become an Owner Member?
Yes. Members can request an upgrade to Owner Member status. However, because the
Owner Member program is very popular, there is usually a waiting list of interested
Members. Requests are handled in chronological order and upgrades are issued once
a new boat is required in the fleet.
