Meet the Cambridge MD Base Owner

Hello.
I am SailTime Cambridge/Crisfield/Oxford Owner/Manager. SailTime Cambridge is an American Sailing Asociation (A.S.A.) certified training facility, unique to the Eastern shore of Maryland!

Our 2010 sailing season will begin in March and our Hunter sailboats are just waiting for you and our wonderful Spring sailing. Our Hunter 33's assure our members the options they need and want to maximize their sailing pleasure and fun. Our new Hunter sloop Island Bee is the second of our fleet and is located in Cambridge at the Cambridge Yacht Basin and our Hunter 33 Sea Bee is located in Oxford at Bachelors Point Marina.

At our Cambridge location, Island Bee is nestled amongst the 300 plus new condos and townhouses located on Cambridge Creek with our second vessel, Sea Bee in Oxford.
With these two locations, we are incorporating the historical boating and sailing tradition of Cambridge and Oxford, while at the same time, joining the new growth and increased recreational needs and demands of our existing and new residents.

A brief bit of data on myself, I am a U.S.C.G. certified master with 50 Tons rating with sailing endorsement and an American Sailing Association (A.S.A.) teaching instructor. As a result,
I teach all new members through the A.S.A. training certification program, as we well as assist them in their sailing and trip planning requirements. When I am not teaching with SailTime Cambridge, or helping arranging a trip for one of our members, I also go sailing for personal pleasure on the Choptank and the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.

I must admit, while many other locations are beautiful, and they are, there just is not another location like the Choptank and the Chesapeake Bay for sailing pleasure,
great winds, protected harbors, deep water and literally thousands of places to drop the hook for a pure Chesapeake sunset. Sure, I am biased, but why not, I get to live, play and sail here. Speaking of living here, my primary residence since 1995 has been Tilghman Island.

The Choptank has deep water, great sailing and anchoring creeks and coves, fabulous winds and day or overnight trips within our reach to Annapolis, Oxford, Tilghman Island, Solomon’s Island and even Crisfield.

I thank you for reviewing our information and look forward to the pleasure of personally meeting you at SailTime Cambridge, at one of our locations, or on the water and wish you…

Fair Winds in your Sails of Life!!!
