Welcome to SailTime Boston, Massachusetts
Ciao, I'm Douglyss Giuliana, base manager at SailTime Boston.
My wife Michelle and I are excited to get you sailing on new, fully loaded cruising boats and on one of America's oldest and most historic ports -- Boston Harbor.
I started sailing 14 years ago (thanks to Michelle), but I caught the sailing bug right away. I don't have stories of racing, trans-oceanic voyages, or life at sea. But I do have some incredible memories of enjoying Boston Harbor with friends on a breezy day, chartering in the Caribbean, and taking overnight trips with family around Massachusetts Bay and New England.
Probably like you, we don't get to spend enough time sailing. We tried sailing clubs, but scheduling was difficult and the boats left a lot to be desired. We considered buying a used boat, but didn't want to waste our sailing time working on the boat. And a new boat is just too expensive. We started SailTime Boston for all of you that just want to spend time on the water with family and friends, but do not want the cost and hassle of ownership.
So please learn about SailTime's smart membership program, check out the SailTime Boston Fleet page for details on our current boats and membership rates, and fill out the information request form on the "Request Info" tab above so we can show you how sailing with SailTime Boston is the best way to escape to the sea. We make it very easy to get out on the water and enjoy the great outdoors. We look forward to sailing with you soon!

SailTime Boston Celebrates with End of Season Dinner
SailTime Boston hosted its annual End-of-Season Celebration Dinner on November 21 at Strega Waterfront. The event was very popular with the members, mainly because of the amazing four-course meal and beautiful setting. Awards for Member of the Year and Trip of the Year were presented, and members with 5 years aboard were bestowed the title of Commodore. The dinner softened the otherwise sad realization that the 2010 season has come to a close.
8th Annual Flip Flop Regatta
Don't miss the 8th Annual Flip Flop Regatta on August 13-14, 2010 in beautiful and historic Boston Harbor. The Flip Flop Regatta is one of the largest major PHRF regattas in the New England area. The race will be a pursuit race with each boat starting on her own time. The race is open to all mono-hull cruising/racing boats holding a current PHRF NE Certificate. Best of all, the regatta is held in memory of Alexandra Nicole Zapp to benefit The ALLY Foundation, established to prevent opportunities for violent sex offenses, to educate the public, and to advocate for necessary changes in culture, attitude, and policy. For details and registration, visit: http://www.flipflopregatta.com

The Colgate is stable, quick, and comfortable. Cruising classes are taught aboard our fleet of new Hunter cruising yachts, fully equipped with modern safety gear and electronics. We never skimp on safety!
Black Rock Sailing School classes are the most in-depth offered in the Boston area. No short-cuts or quickie classes here. We have small class sizes with a maximum of 3 students for most courses. We provide you with all of the skills you will need to sail safely, explore new destination, and enjoy your time at sea.
At SailTime Boston, we believe that learning to sail is more than just a weekend class. Consistent practical experience gives you, the sailor, the confidence to safely sail your boat and lead a crew so that every outing on the water is a fun and enjoyable experience. We are not a high-volume, in-and-out sailing school. We care about your development and experience!

Sailing In Boston
Boston Harbor is an incredibly exciting place to sail for both it's past and present. The harbor was the site of the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Bunker Hill, and waterfront commerce continues to be an important part of Boston's business. The U.S.S. Constitution ("Old Ironsides") was built in Boston Harbor in the 1790's and once again calls the Harbor home, bridging the past and the present. Today, the Harbor is home to the 16-island Boston Harbor Islands State Park.
Boston is such an exciting place to sail. You can sail around the historic harbor islands and go ashore to picnic or sightsee with your family and friends. You can take a short sail north to Marblehead or Salem. You can enjoy a weekend trip to Provincetown on Cape Cod. Or you can plan a longer trip to the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Come and explore all that Boston Harbor and Cape Cod Bay have to offer.
