Meet the Chicago Base Owner
Hi. We are Bob and Maureen Remsing, the Chicago and Racine SailTime base owners. We discovered a way to share our excitement and passion for one of life’s greatest pleasures – boating on Lake Michigan.
Our own experiences learning to sail, then finding, purchasing and maintaining “the right boat” led us to look for a better way to enjoy life. SailTime is that better way. We provide experienced trainers that will guide you through your desired ASA Certification level – Basic Keelboat to Bareboat Chartering. Our fleets of new Hunter sailboats are located in Burnham Harbor (next to Soldier Field) in Chicago in Winthrop Harbor, near the Wisconsin border, and Reefpoint marina in Racine Wisconsin. Winthrop Harbor and Racine have proven to be a great locations for those new to boating, and we recommend them highly.
Our locations have been selected because they each offer unique and wonderful opportunities for boating, not to mention incredible views and events. Party at the dock, or take your family or friends out on the lake, and drop anchor for lunch, cocktails sunning and swimming.
