While most of the Northern Hemisphere is covered in snow and cold, SailTime Channel Islands, in Southern California enjoys some of its' best sailing conditions during the Winter. SailTime Channel Islands is conveniently located about 1 hour north of Los Angeles International Airport. Members sail here 365 days a year.

The end of one year and the beginning of another is a great time to set some goals. Sure, at work, everyone is trying to set goals for you. But lets get serious here. We are talking about some leisure goals for a change. For instance, didn't you say you were going to learn how to sail ?

It's a challenge in today's world to create a sailing lifestyle for your family. There are so many time and budget constraints placed on a family; even more so now than ever. Sure, if you have the money to buy your own boat, you can erase one hurdle. But that introduces a new one to jump over. Rich or not, we are all time impoverished. SailTime solves both issues with aplomb.

 From the 9th to the 12th of Occtober Erin and I joined Chris and Angele Jester on an annual Catalina rendevous sail.  About 4-5 SailTime boats took part in a sail to Catalina Island to enjoy the natural beauty of the island, the waters and an annual Lats and Atts gathering, bbq and party.  Here is Chris and Angele on top of a lookout point on Catalina.

 This morning we got up and got under way pretty quickly to get back to base so we could turn in the boat and get ready to start making our way home.
